This place is great for organic, vegetarian and vegan eaters. I just wished we had a stand alone one in Yakima. The offerings is much more than a few isles inside a Rosaurs.

Visited twice during a trip to Spokane for lunch and breakfast at Huckleberry's Bistro food counter. I love all their gluten free options (vegan options too). The place was jammed with people which made it a little uncomfortable for lunch but they made our items quickly and I enjoyed my turkey club sandwich. The breakfast I was was just fine but nothing to write home about (scramble and potatoes). From the looks of the rest of the market I'd love to shop here too!

Ordered a sandwich from the Deli, a southwest chicken sandwich, mostly because I felt pretty rushed and it seemed like an option that I would enjoy. The sauce was pretty good, but I was disappointed by the lack of spice. Luckily the market had a whole selection of hot sauces from your classic sriracha to tabasco and agave sriracha. I'm a big fan of hot sauces so I was quite pleased by the selection.
The chicken was not flavored too well, and without the sauce would have been pretty distasteful, but all chicken is pretty much like that when cooked, so perhaps I'm just not a fan of chicken. The peppers and onions were a nice bit of contrast in flavors to the rest of the sandwich, and I got it with the greens, which came with quite the cute container for the balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
I really didn't like the bread, and it would definitely have been better on something like ciabatta bread. However, perhaps there are people who like whatever kind of bread that this sandwich came on, so who knows if that's also just a preference thing on my end.
I probably would not come here again but it was a decent portion size and relatively appetizing so in a pinch I could definitely get something else if the occasion called for it. -

Come for the Cafe. Grocery shopping is best limited to a few fringe/specialty items you can't get anywhere else and be prepared to pay through the nose.
The cafe features a gigantic selection of food and drink. The ordering system is a little chaotic but well worth it. Items are flavorful, fresh, and there's a good balance between ethically-sourced-hippy-granola-muncher fare and carnivorous comfort foods. -

The store is incredible but the fellow customers are actual assholes. My 8 month old started crying because she's ummm a baby and this older man yelled FUCK and starred at me in disbelief plugging his ears for an excessive amount of time like he's never seen a baby before so I had to inform him that standing there looking at me wasn't helping anything and that he should move along... and then he stood there even longer while I tried to console my daughter. This place must be a breeding ground for stuck up individuals because I've never had to snap back at someone out in public in my entire 25 years of life. I'm sure this man doesn't know how to use a computer but if he can by some off chance - learn some manners. Moral of the story is , the store is great - just don't bring your kid if they have vocal chords.
